Besides, it has food-safe and heat-resistant features, ensuring the integrity and safety of the coffee, EVOH can preserve coffee flavor and avoid oxidation that outer air into cup inside. The lid of the K-Cup is made of aluminum foil, which provides a barrier against light, heat, oxygen, and moisture, crucial for maintaining the freshness of the coffee grounds inside. Friendly reminder, to maintain the freshness to a greater extent, adding a nitrogen flushing step during manufacturing would be most helpful. Inside the plastic cup, a non-woven filter or paper filter, often composed of abaca fiber, holds the coffee grinds.
